Welcome to EQASA.

The Equestrian Qualifications Authority of Southern Africa was established due to growing educational needs of the equine and equestrian industry. All qualifications and skills development certificates issued by the SANEF National Instructors’ Plan (from 1976 to 2011) remain valid. As of January 2012, equine and equestrian certificates and qualifications will be issued by EQASA.

Past and aspirant examination candidates will need to register on an annual basis. This registration will provide you with membership of EQASA and give you access to our services.

Coaches of equestrian sporting disciplines and riding instructors (International Level One) and up are invited to join the EQASA Coaches Association.

Examinations and assessments are conducted through the year at regional examination centers. Should any additional venue require our services we will be happy to travel to you should numbers be feasible. Please feel free to contact us for further information.
